Welcome to Year 6/Berlin class

Hi Berlin class - our new Year 6 children!

We are so pleased to have you back in school and are really looking forward to this very exciting and important school year. 

Your Year 6 team that will be working with you this year are Mr Dudley, Mrs White, Miss Burns, Miss Cochrane and Mrs Hall. 

In order to get a head start on the new term, please read our Year 6 Newsletter for the autumn term. All key information and learning is included in the letter in the files below. 

In addition to our newsletter there are useful tools to access below which support key learning in maths and English. There is also a link to our autumn term homework for the Maya Civilisation topic. 

Maths, reading, spelling and grammar homework will be given out weekly in the autumn term. Homework is given out on Friday to be returned the following Friday. After Christmas, CGP homework books will be bought for all Year 6 children and our routine will change (more information will be given nearer the time). 

Our P.E. days are Wednesday and Friday and all children must have appropriate kit for these days. A list for kit can be seen on the files below and it is good preparation for high school for all Year 6 children to be responsible for their kit.

Year 6 is a wonderful adventure where we create many magical memories.Our children have to work hard and as a result are rewarded highly for this. 

Our adventures this year include Dr Diane Davies Maya archaeologist presentation, Year 6 Sleepover, Quarry Bank Mill trip, Robinwood trip, RHS Bridgewater trip and London trip.
