Welcome to Year 1

We hope you have all had a fantastic Easter break and that your children are fully recharged, ready for the Summer term.  It has come around very quickly but we are rearing to go!

Summer Term Focus 

This term our topic will be,"Beside the Seaside"

This term our learning will be based around the topic of ‘Beside the Seaside’. This is a great topic for Year 1 and really gets the children to
understand more about the world around them and the time they live in.

Reminders

PE will take place on a Monday and Tuesday and will be led by Mrs Hall. Please ensure your child has the correct PE kit available in school on these days (information about PE kit can be found in the files below).

Books can be changed each week. We have labelled the front of the reading logs to show which day each child can change their books.  

Homework will be uploaded to google classrooms on Wednesdays and children should hand in their completed homework in folders the following Tuesday. 

Spelling tests will take place on Fridays. The spelling lists will be uploaded to google classrooms on Monday so they will have the week to practise.
