Welcome to Year 4

Summer Term

Our topic this term is ‘Look North West.’ We will learn about the geography of the wider north west of England and make comparisons between our own locality and the coastal region around Formby,in Merseyside. We all enjoyed our geography fieldwork visit to Formby on 26th June. See all our photos in the folder at the top of this page.

Well done to all of the children for their determination in learning their times tables. They all tackled the test with confidence and performed extremely well. A huge thank you to parents for supporting your children with this at home.

Please encourage your children to keep revisiting this even though the test has been completed. They will need help in retaining their learning and also need to be very sure of how knowledge of times tables can help them to retrieve division facts!

Book changing day-Monday

Spellings given out and tested - Friday (Please have spelling books in school)

Children now have a spelling pack to work on until the end of term, in order top consolidate key spellings.

The key words that your child is expected to be able to spell by the end of Year 4 are listed in the file below!

Homework will be given on Thursday to be returned by Tuesday

Homework and spellings will be put on the Google classroom each week

PE- Monday and Friday but kits should be in school at all timesSee file below for expected kit

Snacks are not provided but the children are often hungry by break time.
