PE AND SPORT AT PROSPECT VALE – SPRING AND SUMMER 2020

*On Friday 20th March, schools across the UK were closed to most children due to the Coronavirus CoVid-19 outbreak. Schools remained open to children whose parents were Keyworkers only*

At Prospect Vale, we had numerous PE and sport trips, extra-curricular clubs, competitions and opportunities booked in, which of course have had to be cancelled!

At Prospect Vale we continue to encourage as much Physical Activity as possible providing opportunities for our children attending school daily and also for our children who are not currently in school.

Regular ‘Stay safe, Stay Active with Mrs Hall’ challenges are being sent home and children encouraged to share the activities they have done. As our annual Sports Day has not been able to take place, this has included ideas to host a Home Sports Day with family in their own gardens. Some are uploaded on our website.

For the children attending school, they are offered opportunities daily to use the outside space and some limited equipment, observing social distancing and guidelines to remain safe in the current climate.

Lockdown has meant a lot of time has been spent monitoring and checking equipment and making plans for the new academic year, when hopefully school will become the place we are all familiar with! An opportunity to plan exciting events and opportunities in the future has been carefully considered.
